Connecting Generations, Helping in Need
Poverty and loneliness have many forms. Sometimes it is a senior who has no one to exchange a few words with, other times a single mother deciding between paying bills and buying food.
At The Salvation Army, we see the person as a whole. We focus not only on material aid but also on building community. We create places where no one has to feel alone – whether they are 7 or 70 years old.
How Do We Help in Practice?
Fighting Loneliness
We organize clubs, coffee gatherings, and creative workshops for seniors. We offer them the most precious thing – time, a listening ear, and the feeling that they are still needed.
Material Assistance
We help families in crisis situations with food parcels and basic hygiene supplies so they can bridge the most difficult periods.
Support for Children
We run children's clubs and tutoring for children from disadvantaged backgrounds. We give them a chance for better education and meaningful leisure time.
Clothing and Needs
We provide clothing, school supplies, or household equipment for families who cannot afford it.
