At our Salvation Army Community Center in Glejovka, we experienced an afternoon full of discoveries. Thanks to an engaging lecture by Mrs. Jana from the Jessica Egypt travel agency, our children and adult residents were transported directly to the land of the pharaohs.
Education through play and experience. It wasn't just about history and pyramids. Mrs. Janka introduced us to the culture, customs, and daily life of modern Egyptians in a playful way. The children listened with bated breath about the Nile River and how people live in Egypt today. The interactive nature of the event sparked many curious questions, creating a lively and inspiring atmosphere.
A sweet surprise awaited us at the end
Homemade pancakes prepared with love by Mrs. Darinka Farkašová. Did you know that in Arabic they are called something similar – "crepe"? This little detail just underlined the whole atmosphere of the day. The event once again confirmed that education combined with time spent together and shared experiences has immense significance for strengthening relationships in our community.
